About Jolshiri Housing Project
Jolshiri Abashon is a residential area developed by Jolshiri Abashon Ltd. The project’s expected investment is more than a billion dollars in order to implement a development and construction program. The project will be completed over ten years in three different phases. The estimated cost of the project is around $2 billion dollars. Jolshiri Abashon is a land development project that will include all of the infrastructural facilities of a model town, planned to be set up on 6,374 bighas (2103.30 acres) of land in Rupganj Upazila of Narayanganj District. The project is initially planned to house around 6,400 officers to solve the housing problem of Bangladesh Army officers. It is exclusively built for Bangladesh Army officers. The sale of residential, commercial, and institutional plots will be the company’s primary source of revenue. However, a limited number of high-rise apartment blocks, commercial plots, clinics etc. will be sold to recover project costs. It is conveniently situated near the capital city. With excellent connectivity and all the modern features, the amenities make the project a dream come true. One day, it will have a central business district like other modern cities of developing countries where world class community facilities will be made available for all the clients of the city.
Location of the Project
It is situated at the center of the eastern fringe of the Dhaka Metropolitan Development Plan (DMDP) area. The ongoing Detail Area Plan (DAP) is the third tier of DMDP. DAP, as the lowest tier, must comply with the policies stated in DMDP Structure Plan. Jolshiri Abashon is 1.3km to the south of the Purbachal New Town of RAJUK and to the immediate east of the Boshundhara R/A, right across the Balu River. It is from Kuril Flyover following 300 feet RAJUK PURBACHAL Link Road 7 k.m. (an 8 minutes drive). The project is around 21km from the Dhaka Zero Point, (route –Zero Point – Mouchak –Rampura – Kuril – Purbachal New Town – Jolshiri) and 15.6km (route –Zero Point – Mouchak – Rampura – Madani Avenue -Jolshiri) away. It is only 7.5 km from the American Embassy and connects this part of the city directly through the east-bound extension of the Madani Avenue up to and beyond River Balu. This proposed road traverses the Jolshiri Abashon’s south perimeter and across the Lakhya River, will connect with the Dhaka-Sylhet National Highway.

Jalshiri Housing is a residential area developed by Jalshiri Housing Corporation, a subsidiary corporation of Army Officer Housing Scheme, in Rupganj Upazila of Narayanganj District. It is exclusively designed for Bangladesh Army Officers. Earlier it was known as Army Housing Scheme.
