LankaBangla Finance is a multi-product financial institution that started its operations in Bangladesh in 1997 as a joint venture. The institution holds a license from Bangladesh Bank under the Financial Institutions Act of 1993. The shareholding of LankaBangla comprises of commercial banks, corporates, prominent industrialists, foreign sponsors, and the general public.

In addition to offering corporate, retail, and SME financial services, LankaBangla is the only non-banking financial institution in Bangladesh that operates MasterCard and Visa credit cards. The company also provides third-party card processing services for other banks. LankaBangla is actively involved in the capital market through its subsidiary, LankaBangla Securities Limited, which is rated as the number one in the market. The institution also provides investment banking services through its subsidiaries, LankaBangla Investments Limited and LankaBangla Asset Management Company Limited.

Eligibility Criteria

-The primary borrower, co-borrower, and co-applicant must be at least 21 years old at the time of loan application.

-The maximum age for salaried individuals at the end of the loan tenure is 70, while for others it is either 65 or 70 depending on individual circumstances.

-Salaried individuals must have at least 2 years of service experience, with at least 1 year of transactional history with any scheduled bank.

-Self-employed professionals must have at least 2 years of relevant experience, with at least 1 year of transactional history with any scheduled bank.

-Businesspersons must have at least 3 years of experience in related fields and a total of 5 years of business experience.

-Contractual employees’ eligibility is determined based on their profile and strength.

-Landlords/Landladies must have a stable income from rented premises.The minimum income required for government employees, salaried individuals, professionals, and landlords/landladies is BDT 40,000, while for businesspersons it is BDT 50,000.
