The presence of several medical institutions including Central Basabo General Hospital, Basabo Diabetic Hospital, Center for Health, and VSS Eye Hospital have all made this area more complete. Furthermore, Islami Bank Medical Center has also recently opened here.

Basabo has sand fields and Basabo fields. In the afternoon, the fields are full of sports. Social and political events are held here throughout the year. Also, this area is great for a morning walk or an evening stroll.

Dharmarajika Buddhist Monastery is an important religious establishment in Basabo. It was established as the first Buddhist monastery after the partition of India in 1947.

To the north of Basabo are Khilgaon, Rampura, and Malibagh, and to the southwest are Motijheel, Kamlapur and Mugda areas. Basabo’s transportation with the southern part of Dhaka is very good. The development of roads in this area has also going on extensively.

All the famous brands like Arang, Apex, La Rive have outlets in the area. There are also super shops like Meena Bazar, Swapn. Even if there is no such big shopping mall, any shopping needs can be met from this area.
